Archadeck of Fort Wayne expands outdoor living versatility and enjoyment for these Fort Wayne homeowners!

Fort Wayne TimberTech DecksOne of our most recent projects was for homeowners in the Fort Wayne area who already had a much loved and utilized screened porch but needed some additional deck space to not only enhance their enjoyment of their beautiful back yard but to expand their outdoor living area while increasing its versatility. Archadeck of Fort Wayne was absolutely up for the challenge of helping them blend a second outdoor living structure into the existing outdoor living area.

Fort Wayne TimberTech deck builderTheir lot had a slope, making access to some areas of their property difficult at times. We met with the client for a free consultation about how we could improve the safe navigation and use of their lakefront yard by transforming a broader section surrounding the screened porch into additional outdoor living space. After listening closely to their concerns and preferences, we designed a multilevel deck and tiered walkway to fulfill their needs.  It provides access directly from the driveway to the screened porch, the back yard and even lower levels of the property.

Fort Wayne TimberTech with Westbury Verticable RailingAfter deciding what the structure would be, we explored the materials alternatives.  They wanted materials that would seamlessly blend into the environment, while complimenting the color of their home, and they wanted low maintenance if the budget would allow. TimberTech Terrain capped composite decking boards in Silver Maple fit the bill quite nicely. Since it is a combination of wood fiber and resin with a wood-like profile, it offers impressive durability, an uncanny resistance to splintering and rotting and is extremely economical.

Fort Wayne TimberTech lakefront decksTo coordinate with the decking, we also used Westbury VertiCable railing in the black fine texture. Its contemporary vertical cables and balusters provide architectural style with a virtually unobstructed view to the homeowner’s scenic backyard lake. The final accessories to this masterpiece of design and function were the TimberTech riser lights which provide the ultimate in safe use for the multilevel deck, stairs and walkway even after the sun goes down.

The end result was that we were able to accomplish all of the objectives that we had put forth and the homeowners will be able to enjoy the outdoors and their back yard more than they ever have. To give them further peace of mind, our complete one-year warranty, our five-year structural warranty, TimberTech’s 25 year warranty and Westbury VertiCable’s limited lifetime warranty.
